Son of Wood Dale alderman pleads guilty to sexual assault charges

The son of a Wood Dale alderman pleaded guilty Tuesday to two counts of aggravated criminal sexual assault of a 12-year-old girl and one count of aggravated criminal sexual abuse.

Jordan Wesley, 20, of the 400 block of East Itasca Street, is accused of sexually assaulting the Itasca girl at parks and wooded areas in Wood Dale and Itasca and has been held in DuPage County jail on $500,000 bail since his arrest last October.

The investigation was launched in September 2013 after the girl's mother became suspicious and took her daughter to a hospital for an evaluation.

Prosecutors said Wesley later admitted having "consensual sex" with the girl, who is not of legal age to consent, on at least two occasions.

Wesley also confessed to sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl in June 2013 and molesting or exposing himself to five other girls between the ages of 11 and 13 at an Itasca park, according to prosecutors.

Before his arrest in this case, Wesley had recently completed probation in a juvenile battery case, authorities said.

Wood Dale Fourth Ward Alderman Eugene Wesley, Jordan's father, did not return a message seeking comment on the pleadings left on his cellphone Tuesday afternoon.

Jordan Wesley is next due in court on Oct. 29 for the return of his pre-sentence report and setting of his sentencing date. When sentenced, Wesley could face between 12 and 120 years in prison because of consecutive sentencing laws.
