Pivotal election issues are unions and collective bargaining to represent liable livelihoods and safe working conditions to restore the middle class and the economy with public service. This generally requires funding, like taxes, notably a fair or progressive tax (ability to pay) which the 1 percent wealthiest and corporations campaign against.

Illinois has $2 billion, corporate tax loopholes. Madigan's millionaire tax is earned. CEOs with $12 million earnings pay the same tax as a $25,000 income.

Tax is vital for public services but right-wing politicians, some governor aspirants, multibillionaire Rauner, some current governors, Wisconsin, Ohio skip or skimp on public services falsely saying, "We're broke," echoing House Speaker Boehner. FDR expanded services in the Great Depression, Pensions, constitutionally mandated, (employee-employer funded) are earned.

Federal government borrowing can issue bonds to states (the public) and is appropriate, not to the undertaxed, surfeited, rich and corporations.

Campaigns by the rich pensioned business round tablers also focuses on benefit cuts for seniors through a lower quality cost of living adjustment and higher retirement age, 70, Medicare.

The wealthy and massive corporate hoarders want everything the middle class has, like public service, pensions. States with an income tax maintain higher incomes, economy.

Right-wing filibustered or bloc-voted against public needs like clean environment, regulation, all levels of education.

Democrats need a supermajority, popular vote as the majority, House Republicans redistricted to bias electoral votes for their candidates as the Gore-Bush election.

Right-wing seeks to block access to polls for seniors, students, Native and African Americans.

Vote for the middle class.
