Missing Glen Ellyn woman found safe at restaurant

A 21-year-old Glen Ellyn woman missing from her parents home since Sunday morning was found safe at a restaurant about 6:30 p.m. Monday, police said.

Glen Ellyn Deputy Police Chief William Holmer said someone at the restaurant recognized Nora Wallar and Carol Stream police were contacted.

Wallar has a form of autism and is unable to care for herself, authorities reported when she went missing.

The Glen Ellyn police and Wallar's family have expressed their gratitude to the public for the support and exposure that led to her being found safely.
