Fox Valley Park District to hold community garage sale

Shoppers are invited to take advantage of great deals and savings at the Fox Valley Park District's community garage sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, at the Prisco Community Center parking lot, 150 W. Illinois Ave., Aurora.

As many as 20 sellers are expected, assuring an enormous selection of sale items and even better deals. Admission for buyers is free.

"We're holding dozens of garage sales all in one central area, so it's a great opportunity for bargain hunters and sellers alike," said Supervisor Carrie Johnson. "Shoppers will find great deals on all types of items without having to waste time and gas driving all over town."

All proceeds from rental space will serve to benefit the Creative Play preschool program. The seller fee is $30 for residents and $45 for nonresidents. Sellers will be allotted two 9-by-18-foot parking spaces, one 8-foot table and take home all sales profits. Interested sellers have until Thursday, Sept. 25, to reserve a space.

In the event of inclement weather, the community garage sale will be held inside the Prisco Center.
