Lamb Farm's Barn Burner BBQ Oct. 17, 18

The public is invited to the 9th Annual Barn Burner BBQ competition, Friday and Saturday, Oct. 17 and 18, at Lambs Farm on Route 176 in Green Oaks.

As many as 50 teams will be cooking in the parking lot competing in five categories to win the Grand Champion title and the chance to compete at other national Kansas City Barbeque Society sanctioned events. The free event includes entertainment, food, raffle prizes and free admission. Hours are 5 to 10 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

Visitors can mingle with the competitors. Attractions include a DJ, food, beverages and live music. Winners and awards will be announced at 3:30 p.m. Saturday. All proceeds benefit Lambs Farm's programs for people with developmental disabilities.
