Lake County roundup

Mundelein's boys golf team is on a roll.

And John Lentz was rolling in the putts Tuesday, as his 2-under-par 34 led the Mustangs to an impressive 145 at Pine Meadow Golf Club. The performance was good for a 14-stroke victory over Libertyville (159).

Mundelein - which won last Saturday's invite at Spring Valley with a 313 - also counted 37s by Ryan Magee, Brett Parola and Tyler White. The Mustangs' Nick Chuma, who earned medalist honors at Spring Valley with a 76, also fired a 37. Mundelein's effort was so good that it didn't even need the matching 40s carded by Jeff Lee and Zach Zentz.

Libertyville was led by Jacob Mueller's 38. Matt Cordan and Brian Hoffmann each shot a 40 for the Wildcats.

Vernon Hills d. Antioch: At White Deer Run, Justin Park, Brian Favia and Ricky Schmidt each shot a 2-over-par 38, as the Cougars captured a North Suburban Prairie Division win.

Ethan Lee's 41 gave Vernon Hills (3-2, 2-0) a total of 155. Antioch (179) was led by Dillon Kreitzer's 42.

Wauconda d. Grant: At Countryside, the only player to break 40 was the lone female, Annette Yandall, whose 39 led Wauconda (165) past Grant (210) in North Suburban Prairie action.

Zac Lahrman and Bryan Nee shot a 41 and 42, respectively, for Wauconda, which improved to 2-1 in the division. Patrick Adams and Will Rudd each had a 43.

Matt Burkart led Grant with a 51.

Prairie Ridge d. Grayslake North: At Prairie Isle, the Wolves shot a 152, led by Ethan Farnam's 35.

Grayslake North (180) was paced by Bobby Krebs' 43.
