Rolling Meadows Fourth-grader Won Gold at the International Chinese Martial Arts Championship

Charlie Feng, a fourth-grader and a local Rolling Meadows resident, won a first place on Long Weapon form and a second place on empty-handed form at the 2014 International Chinese Martial Arts (Wushu) Championship, held on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at St. Charles, Illinois, competing with over 100 Wushu athletes from around the globe.

Charlie Feng has practiced Wu Shu (Chinese Martial Arts) at Soaring Eagle Kung Fu school, a prestigious martial arts school in Palatine, IL. Charlie learned traditional Shaolin style Kung Fu from Master Kaifei Song, Min Ma, and Lincai Shi, three top-ranked Kung Fu masters in the Chicago region. This was Charlie's first international competition.
