#OakBrook police release images in Louis Vuitton burglary

Oak Brook police released seven low-resolution images Thursday taken from a surveillance video showing the weekend burglary of the Louis Vuitton store at Oakbrook Center.

The crime occurred around 4 a.m. Sunday when a minivan smashed through the doors at the front of the store. Eight people wearing masks and gloves then entered the business while the driver waited in the vehicle. The burglars quickly loaded their stash and drove off before authorities arrived.

The burglars escaped with more than 50 items worth more than $120,000 from the luxury purse maker, authorities said.

In the newly released images, the masked intruders can be seen running into the store, grabbing items and then sprinting out.

Police spokesman and officer George Peterson said the case remains under investigation. No additional information was released.

"Even though we do not have any additional information at this time," Peterson said, "we wanted to make sure we released these photos in a timely manner."
