Lakes homecoming parade set:
The Lakes Community High School homecoming parade will start at 10 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 14. Set up will begin at 8:30 a.m. Floats will line up near Kelsey Court across from McDonald Woods Forest Preserve and proceed south on Beck Road and will end just before Sand Lake Road at B.J. Hooper Elementary School in Lindenhurst. Residents should expect some traffic delays, especially near Rose Tree Lane and Valley Drive. Call (847) 838-7100 or email Rachel Sager at rachel.sager@chsd117.org for information. During the parade, the Lake Villa food pantry will collect nonperishable food items.
