Arlington Heights man pleads to home invasion

An Arlington Heights man, who police say was one of four men who forced their way into a residence in the 700 block of Bode Circle in Hoffman Estates last year, pleaded guilty to home invasion, court records show.

Jarvis James, 21, pleaded guilty Tuesday to the class X felony and was sentenced to 10 years in prison, according to court records.

The defendants threatened the residents, took several items and fled the scene, Hoffman Estates police said.

Police identified James as one of the men and arrested him about two weeks after the home invasion. At that time authorities were still seeking the three other offenders.
