Memorial at Wauconda park:

Wauconda officials on Thursday will hold a memorial service to mark the anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. The ceremony is set for noon at Memorial Park, 309 S. Main St. A 13,000-pound, concrete-encrusted beam from the World Trade Center will be on display, according to a news release.
