Masked burglars hit Louis Vuitton store at Oakbrook Center

Eight people wearing masks and gloves looted the Louis Vuitton store at Oakbrook Center Mall before dawn Sunday, making off with an undisclosed amount of goods before police could respond to a burglary alarm.

Oak Brook police said that just after 4 a.m., officers got to the store, where a minivan had backed in the doors of the store. A driver waited in the van while the others collected high-end goods from the luxury purse maker.

There was extensive damage to the window and front door of the store.

Police declined to answer any more specific questions.
