Two reasons to vote Quinn out

There is a long list of reasons for not re-electing Gov. Pat Quinn, but two come to the fore:

First, there is a very good chance that Pat Quinn will be the next Illinois governor to go to jail. An investigation regarding his misuse of $54 million tax dollars to fund a bogus "Neighborhood Initiative" program will be relaunched in November, complete with grand jury subpoenas.

The investigation was postponed until after the election, but it will happen.

If Quinn is indicted, the state's dire fiscal problems will be put on hold while we endure yet another trial of a governor-gone-bad.

Second, we cannot afford another four years of the governor's fiscal mismanagement. He has increased the state's income and corporate tax rates. He has ratcheted up the budget.

Our labor force has shrunk because people and companies are fleeing the state. Spending on education has shrunk by $500 million because one in every three dollars is now spent on teacher pensions.

Based on the above, there is no upside to re-electing the governor. He has put this once-great-state on a road to fiscal disaster and keeping him in office will assure its complete destruction.
