Who couldn't be prouder about the Jackie Robinson West's team's performance on and off the field?

Black or white it doesn't matter, these boys have shown all the character that any parent or citizen would only wish upon their own.

These young men deserve all that can be available to them; college educations and careers (jobs). But will they? Hopefully, some will by using the same determination they have shown on and off the field.

What about the other players? Will gangs be there to accept them with their guns, terror and crime that will finally put them in jail?

It is up to parents, teachers and community leaders to see that this does not happen to these fine young men as well as all of their brothers and sisters.

What can you do to make their world better with opportunity? Don't let their success go away; keep the light of opportunity open and available to those who those shown they can get the job done.
