Schaumburg Park District Welcomes Newcomers to Senior Center

Make new friends and stay active throughout life.

Whether you are new to the area, recently retired or just looking for a place to hang out, all seniors are invited to a Newcomers Welcome program to learn about activities offered at the Schaumburg Park District, 11 a.m., Sept. 16 at the Community Recreation Center, 505 N. Springinsguth Road.

The Senior Center offers a variety of fun activities throughout the year including luncheons, day excursions, daily activities, overnight trips and more. The program is a 45 minute introduction that includes a tour of the facility, information on programs and activities, meet and greet with Senior Center staff and light refreshments.

"You are never too old to make new friends and being a part of the Senior Center is a great way to meet new people," said Lisa Perrone, Senior Center Supervisor.

RSVPs are encouraged and should be made in advance by calling the Center at (847) 490-7026.
