Septemberfest Beatles cover band's founders from Schaumburg High School

Liverpool Legends, The Complete Beatles Experience has been thrilling audiences in Branson, Missouri, for nine years.

Now, hot on the heels of their performance at the Rose Bowl, performing for 60,000 attendees at the 88th Annual Americafest, they bring their show back home as the closing musical extravaganza at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 1, Labor Day, at Schaumburg's 2014 Septemberfest.

The founders of Liverpool Legends, Kevin Mantegna and Marty Scott (portraying John Lennon and George Harrison), look forward to bringing their Grammy Award-nominated and internationally acclaimed show home to Schaumburg.

While at Schaumburg High School, Mantegna and Scott loved attending Septemberfest every year. After high school, they remained best friends, each growing up and following different careers and dreams, but music always kept them close.

When their first band, The Critics, released a CD entitled "Braintree," (named for the street by Schaumburg High School), it was apparent they still had a deep affection for their hometown.

After a few years, Mantegna and Scott decided to conquer the world of Beatles tribute shows and accomplished something no other Beatles tribute in the world was able to achieve. Liverpool Legends stands as the only Beatles tribute with a direct biological connection to the original "Fab Four" thanks to their friend, partner and collaborator, Louise "Lou" Harrison, George Harrison's sister.

When Louise Harrison announced the debut of her hand-picked Lads in 2004, she knew Liverpool Legends would take the world by storm. "They will prove to be the very best four guys to portray The Beatles since the only four guys to play The Beatles were John, Paul, George and Ringo," she said at that time.

Now, their theatrical presentation, complete with a special appearance by Ed Sullivan, takes Beatles fans back to re-experience Beatlemania from the first moment they set foot on Ed's stage more than 50 years ago. Relive The Beatles' psychedelic Sgt. Pepper era and feel the magic of Abbey Road and beyond.

In 2012, Liverpool Legends and Louise Harrison were nominated for a Grammy Award for their work on a documentary about Beatles fans.
