Illinois cannot afford to lose residents

Just read another study by the Illinois Policy Institute. Did you know that in 2012 Iowa's median income surpassed Illinois'? Our income has collapsed by $12,000 in the last 15 years - ugh. Does the shrinking paycheck result from state policies that smother entrepreneurs, a choking regulatory environment, our culture of cronyism, and overall high taxes? Probably!

People are leaving; in fact, we lead the Midwest in exporting talent. This led to a net loss of 50,000 residents and $2 billion in lost revenue in 2010 alone. When do we start to care and change this mess?
