Be considerate to 'outsiders' on bicycles

I was appalled to read about the battle between residents of Barrington Hills and bicyclists. All bicyclists in Spandex are not professionals. We are mothers, fathers, sons and daughters. We started bicycling to be healthier and get off the couch. We own homes, cars and pay taxes as do others in and around Barrington Hills. If the people in Barrington Hills do not want outsiders using their roads, then why do they think they should be allowed on the neighboring towns' roads - whether it's in a car or on a bicycle?

Shame on those trying to take the law into their own hands. Sure, there are some bicyclists who break rules and are inconsiderate. I can say the same for drivers of cars - every day! May we all learn to coexist and be considerate of our fellow human beings.
