Schaumburg Park District has people moving and grooving at Zumba classes

Dance your way to a fitter you.

Get fit this fall - sign up for Zumba classes at the Community Recreation Center, 505 N. Springinsguth Road and Meineke Recreation Center, 220 E. Weathersfield Way.

The Schaumburg Park District offers Zumba classes for all ages and abilities. Zumba is a cardio workout unlike any other! Zumba uses unique Latin movements and rhythms to have fun while getting fit.

• Zumbini: Caregivers and children will wiggle, giggle, sing and learn together. This class is for ages 6 months to 3 years.

• Zumba Kids: Experience the ultimate dance-fitness party and bust a move like no one is watching. This class is for ages 7 to 11.

• Zumba: The class that started it all. Zumba uses unique Latin moves and rhythms to help you dance your way to a healthier life. This class is for ages 14 and older.

• Zumba Gold: This class allows participants to move to the beat of your own speed. Zumba Gold provides modified, low-impact moves for active older adults. This class is for all ages.

"The music and movements make Zumba classes fun and popular," said Alyssa Danca, Schaumburg Park District fitness supervisor. "If you want more Zumba fun, we are going to have a Zumba party in early September."

The free Zumba party will be 6:45 p.m., Sept. 4 at the Community Recreation Center.

Classes start in September. Registration is available at parkfun.com and District registration facilities.
