Schaumburg Park District looking for helping hands

Schaumburg Park District counts on volunteers to help provide quality programs and events.

Become a member of the District's Mileage Club and give back to the community by contributing time and talent. As part of the Mileage Club, volunteers will earn one Parkfun Point for each hour worked at an event or program. Points can be redeemed for different rewards including fitness passes, money off programs, massages and more.

Volunteer opportunities are endless at the District with availability at Spring Valley, recreational and cultural arts events and special events!

District volunteers make friendships, learn new skills and enrich the lives of fellow community members when participating in events. Duties may include event set-up and takedown, decorating, arts and crafts, registration, games and serving food and concessions.

“Free massages and discounts on programs or classes are just a couple of things for which points can be used for,” said Judy Vito, Spring Valley's volunteer coordinator. “Volunteering is fun, knowing you are making someone else's night just a little bit more special by lending a helping hand.”
