Children's Advocacy Center turns 25

Friends, employees and associated agencies came out Friday to help the Children's Advocacy Center of North & Northwest Cook County celebrate its 25th anniversary.

The celebration and open house were held at the center, 640 Illinois Blvd. in Hoffman Estates.

Local dignitaries, including Hoffman Estates Mayor Bill McLeod and Schaumburg Village President Al Larson, attended.

The center is dedicated to helping children who are victims of sexual abuse by giving them a venue to tell their story once, not over and over again to different people and different agencies.
