New leadership needed to fight jet noise

As what should have been very predictable from the start of the O'Hare Modernization Plan, the increased noise is drastically affecting quality of life for all suburbs directly east and west of the airport as well as significant parts of Chicago. Of course, many of those now complaining are represented by those who sold out to former Mayor Richard Daley's power plays, and as a result their complaints are falling on deaf ears (much like their own deaf ears).

The head of the Noise Compatibility Commission is Arlene Mulder, who should immediately resign her chair because she does not represent those who need help to protect themselves from the onslaught of noise. She seems to represent only Arlington Heights and other communities who benefit from the new runway configuration. This problem will only be getting worse without some honest remediation.
