The 2014 Sweet Ride, a Palatine Chocolate Bicycle Tour, is a noncompetitive adventure that takes bicyclists throughout Palatine, starting and stopping at six Palatine locations, tasting chocolate treats along the way.

The 10-mile ride will begin and end at Morkes Chocolates, in business since the 1920s and located at 1890 N. Rand Road. A Morkes van will be riding the route in case someone needs assistance. Stops will include Signature Sweets, Loving Care Animal Hospital, Mike's Bike Shop and D'Vine Wine.

The on-site registration fee is $35, $25 for children 6 to 12 years old, and free for children 5 and under.

Online registration, which is $5 cheaper, and more information is at morkeschocolates.com.
