Library to host comic con:
The Vernon Area Public Library will hold its inaugural Mini Comic Con on Saturday, Nov. 8. The event will run from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the library, 300 Olde Half Day Road, Lincolnshire. A costume contest, a superhero drawing workshop and a superhero training academy are among the events planned. Admission is free, and it's open to patrons of all ages.
