Family Class, Sept 17

Do you have a family member with mental illness? The National Alliance on Mental Illness, Cook County North Suburban Chapter, will offer the Family-to-Family Education Program, a 12-week course for families of adult loved ones dealing with serious mental illness.

Class starts at Messiah Lutheran Church, 1605 Vernon Ave, Park Ridge, 60068, on Wednesday evenings, Sept 17 - Dec 10 (off Nov 26), 7 - 9:30 pm.

Learn about the major mental illnesses, treatments and medications, services available, crisis preparation, communication, and coping strategies. Get ideas that help you take care of yourself and your family. This course is free of charge and is taught by trained family members who have cared for loved ones with mental illness.
