Robber takes cash from Gurnee convenience store

Gurnee police are seeking information about a robbery that occurred Monday afternoon at the Daisy Quik Mart, 726 S. Milwaukee Ave.

Police said the thief made a small purchase, then reached into the open cash drawer and took the money. After struggling with the clerk, he ran out the door and fled in a tan or beige vehicle.

The thief was described as a black man in his 20s, average height and build. He was wearing a dark ball cap with a red bill that had a white over red logo on it, possibly a Chicago Bulls cap, a red polo shirt, blue jeans and dark shoes.
