It appears the driver suffered a medical emergency, police said, which led to him losing control of his vehicle.

The driver was taken to Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, where he was pronounced dead. Police had no information about his injuries but said the DuPage County Coroner's Office is planning an autopsy.

Identification of the driver is being withheld pending notification of the driver's family.

Winfield Road was closed for a while on Friday while the crash was investigated.
