Why change Bible to fit our world?

Puleeze! Engagement of gays leads to firing makes the front page?

Did this director of music ever listen to what was taught in his church? Has he read the Bible concerning same-sex marriage or liaisons? And he has the nerve to say that God has given him this relationship and he would be saying no to God.

I am a strong LCMS Lutheran Christian and know that the Roman Catholic Church also has strong feelings about this particular subject. They are not positive feelings about homosexuality, and these are the tenets that we believe and endorse in our congregations.

The world today seems to feel that we need to change the Bible to fit the world, that is not the way it happens. We humans if we are Christians need to abide by our Lord's teachings in his word. God is the judge and jury, not me nor our churches, but when someone decides to live outside our tenets, they must understand that there is a price to pay here on earth. The final judgment will be between them and the Lord.

I applaud the priest who I think handled this situation the nicest way that he could, and I find the person who leaked this to the press to be quite reprehensible.

As I have said and written before, may our Lord have mercy on our world today.
