Elgin

• Rodolfo F. Tapia, 42, of the 300 block of Lilac Lane in, Elgin, was charged Monday with aggravated battery of a victim older than 60 and driving with a suspended driver's license, court records show. His bail was set at $7,500 in Kane County bond court, and his next court date is Aug. 15.

• Jerris R. Johnson, 27, of the 600 block of Wellington Street, Elgin, was charged Monday with possession of a substance containing cocaine and resisting/obstructing a police officer, court records show. His bail was set at $50,000 in Kane County bond court, and his next court date is Aug. 15.

• Hilberto R. Urias, 38, of the 800 block of Morgan Street, Elgin, was charged Monday with retail theft after police said he took a six-pack of beer from Butera Market in Elgin, court records show. His bail was set at $10,000 in Kane County bond court, and his next court date is Aug. 13.

• Deborah M. Stevens, 58, of the 0-100 block of Crystal Street, Elgin, was charged Friday with manufacture/delivery and possession of a substance containing heroin, court records show. Her bail was set at $100,000 in Kane County bond court, and her next court date is Aug. 15.
