Recycle your electronics in St. Charles Saturday

Kane County Recycles is recycling electronics and books from 8 a.m. and noon Saturday, Aug. 9, at 540 S. Randall Road, St. Charles. Recyclers can pick up the new Kane County Recycles Green Guide for 2014-2015.

On Aug. 9, you can recycle electronics like computers, keyboards, laptops, printers, televisions of any size or age, stereos, cellphones, microwaves, basically anything with a plug on it. Not accepted will be large household appliances such as refrigerators and washing machines. You can also recycle books of any age and condition here. Items for recycling will be unloaded for participants. A complete list of accepted items and more information can be found at countyofkane.org/recycling under "Electronics Recycling."

This month only electronics and books will be accepted. At the upcoming event from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, Sept. 13, at the same location, confidential documents for shredding will be accepted.
