Man, 18, shot at party in Elgin, dropped off at hospital
An 18-year-old man who was shot at a party in Elgin was dropped off early today at Sherman Hospital in Elgin with injuries that weren't believed to be life threatening, police said.
Police said the victim was driven to the hospital by an unknown subject and dropped off about 4:50 a.m. The victim said that he was at an unknown location in Elgin at a party when he was involved in an altercation with an unknown man, who shot him in the groin area, according to a police news release.
