Elgin's 311 system an initial success
A few days ago, we noticed our streetlight wasn't on.
In the past, we would call and report it along with pole type (metal or wooden) and number.
But I couldn't remember who to call. I called 311 to get the information. The woman aking the call took the information and said they would handle it. Wow, that was easy.
A couple of hours later my husband was in the yard and saw the men working on it. They told him it was now working.
That evening it did not come on so I called 311 to tell them. Again, they were very pleasant and thanked me for letting them know so they could let the men know there was still a problem.
We had light that night.
Thanks to the repair men and 311.
