Music, water fights highlight Lake Villa Days

Celebrate the 81st anniversary of Lake Villa Days, sponsored by the Lake Villa Firefighters Association, Thursday, July 31, through Sunday, Aug. 3. The festival will begin at 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday; 4 p.m. Saturday; and noon Sunday at Lehmann Park, 148 Cedar Ave., Lake Villa.

Admission is free. Festivities will include bingo, rides, games for all ages, music, refreshments, and water fights. Lake, McHenry and Kenosha County firefighters will take part in water fights Aug. 2, with registration at 5 p.m. and fights at 5:30 p.m. Local business men and women's water fights will be Aug. 3, with registration at 11 a.m. The men's fight is at noon, followed by the women's.

Live musical performances include Bella Cain Friday night and Modern Day Romeos on Saturday, both at 9 p.m.
