NextGen Group offers fun programs for 20- and 30-somethings

Crafting, trivia and Shark Week are all on the summer agenda for the Schaumburg Township District Library's NextGen social group for people in their 20s and 30s. The following programs are free and do not require registration.

The "CrafterWork" program will take place from 7-8:30 p.m., Tuesday, July 22, in the Rasmussen North Room of the Library, 130 S. Roselle Road, Schaumburg. Participants can meet others who enjoy various crafting interests and possibly learn something new. The library will provide a Mason jar Modge Podge craft, however; participants are welcome to bring their own crafts as well.

"Trivia Night" is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 24, at Fox & Hound, 1416 N. Roselle Road. Teams ranging from two to seven members will compete in a trivia game featuring pop culture, weird history, and other obscure topics. Participants can enter as a team, or come alone and get placed on a team. Prizes will be awarded to the winning team.

NextGen will celebrate Shark Week with a viewing of the most famous shark movie of all time, "Jaws," from 7-9:30 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 5, in the library's Audiovisual Theatre. Shark treats and trivia will be included.
