Elite Soccer U17 Boys Premier Black Takes 2nd in NPL Finals

Elite Soccer's U17 Boys Premier Black soccer team, based in Arlington Heights and with players from several surrounding communities, took 2nd place in the National Premier League (NPL) Finals in Greensboro, NC last weekend. The team, coached by Andy Steele, beat teams from California, Washington, and New Mexico, ultimately losing to Placer United Soccer Club from Northern California in the finals. During the 2014 season, this team finished with a 15-3-3 record and placed first in the prestigious Northern Illinois Soccer League-NPL Division. The NPL was created to elevate and change the competitive youth soccer landscape by extending developmental principles espoused by U.S. Soccer into more age groups and clubs, by linking competition with player development and identification platforms, and by providing meaningful weekly competition culminating in the NPL Finals. Elite Soccer is a comprehensive soccer-based youth development organization that serves youth ages 3-23 in year round programming dedicated to teach life lessons through soccer.
