Why was motto missing on July 4th?

Your aim?

I find it surprising that on the day we celebrate our independence as a nation, your motto was missing at the top of the page - "Our aim: To fear God, tell the truth and make money." - H. C. Paddock 1852-1935.

The founder of the Daily Herald, or Paddock Publications, seemed to understand how important God was in forming our Declaration of Independence, and our Constitution.
