Repaving work continues in Rosemont
Road resurfacing work is underway in a multifamily residential area north of the Allstate Arena in Rosemont.
Crews are nearly complete with repaving a parking lot of a group of apartment buildings north of the Rosemont Recreation Center on Barry Street, said Mayor Brad Stephens.
Still to be done is paving of Ann, Betty, Carol, Doris and Ethel courts. Owners of 81 apartment buildings in the neighborhood are funding the work through a new special service area tax, which also will fund garbage collection and snow removal.
The village board formally authorized a $1.2 million contract with Orange Crush LLC this week for the repaving. The work is scheduled to be done by September.
