Our nation was built by immigrants
To all of you protesting immigration reform, can we have a reality check? How many of you are Native American? I can see why you don't want any more immigrants: The first group stole your country.
To the rest of you, were you born here? Your parents? Grandparents? Great-greats? Where did they come from? Where would you be living had they not emigrated here from Europe or Asia or Russia?
What's wrong with giving these immigrants the same chance your ancestors had for a better life? Think about this: Unless they have the same education, upbringing, experience and English as a native tongue, they won't be taking your job. All they'll do is help this country grow.
