Miss Lori's Campus visits Elgin

Laughter filled the air at Gail Borden Public Library on Wednesday as WTTW's Miss Lori brought her message to fans in Elgin.

The popular children's TV host shared her charm and excitement with more than 150 Elgin area parents and children. She encouraged children - and parents - to join the dancing and singing, which will encourage them to read.

"It's about getting the body moving to get ready to read" she said.

The WTTW Kids Readers are Leaders program was free to kids ages 3 to 8.

The performance included original songs, activities, story readings and a free book to the first 200 who registered.
