The Solid Waste Agency of Lake County hosts a household chemical waste collection on Saturday, June 14. Residents are invited to bring items such as CFL bulbs, unwanted prescription and over-the-counter medicines and supplements, household cleaners, gasoline, garden chemicals, pesticides, oil-based paints (no latex), varnishes and other household chemicals to 1311 N. Estes St., Gurnee. Appointments are free and required. No business waste will be accepted. Appointments can be scheduled at www.swalco.org Contact the Solid Waste Agency of Lake County with questions at (847) 336-9340 x-0. The next collections will be Monday, June 23, and Saturday, July 12.
