Wauconda trustees will meet Tuesday to discuss proposed noise regulations. The committee-of-the-whole meeting is set for 7 p.m. at village hall, 101 N. Main St. Noise rules have been in the works for more than a year. The effort was a response to complaints about amplified music coming from bars on Bangs Lake. The plan would ban the amplification of sound or the playing of music after 11 p.m. on weekends and after 10 p.m. on weeknights. It also would set decibel levels for other noise. A vote on the proposal could come next week.
