HIGHLAND PARK, IL (MAY 2014) -- Although a giant sheet cake may look mouth watering, nobody really knows how long it's been sitting out for. Unfortunately, that cake may be days old and dried up, unappetizing to say the least. Max's Delicatessen and Restaurant in Highland Park is attempting to change it up by offering a wide selection of fresh, smaller sized desserts while also being more sustainable, producing less waste.

These new individualized treats include: moist double chocolate cake with chocolate frosting, chocolate chip cheesecake, cheesecake with fresh strawberry topping, key lime pie, and many more. The variety of choices and small portions makes it easy for everyone to try a dessert they like, with little to no waste! If just looking for a sweet bite, these treats are moderately sized so that they can also be shared between a multiple people.

Max's Deli also takes custom orders for full-sized cakes and desserts. For more information, call the restaurant at 847-831-0600.
