We have ability to focus on more than one issue

Cokie Roberts and her husband wrote a column that appeared in the Herald on May 13 claiming that the Republicans were exploiting the deaths of four Americans by keeping the Benghazi story alive. They have no problem with the fact that this administration and their sycophants in the media seem to have no interest in getting at the truth.

Incredibly, the Robertses state that the lie blaming the video was wrong but it was soon corrected. Really? Apparently they forgot that President Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton were still blaming the video when they met the victims' families days after the attack, and amazingly Obama brought this up several times in his speech at the United Nations two weeks later.

This was a disgrace but went virtually uncovered by the mainstream media. Had the media initially done their job, instead of protecting the president right before the election, we wouldn't be having yet another investigative committee appointed 20 months later.

One more thing, according to the Robertses, Americans care more about jobs than a jihad in Libya, assuming that we are incapable of focusing on more than one issue at a time. In other words, because of a lousy economy we should ignore Benghazi, the IRS scandal, fast and furious, the NSA intrusions and now the VA scandal, not to mention all the international disasters.

Hopefully, the current investigation will at least reveal the truth about the events surrounding Benghazi.
