Low Vision Products Show returns to Schaumburg Twp.

The Chicago Lighthouse is returning with its free, popular, Low Vision Products Road Show to Schaumburg Township from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, June 4. Schaumburg Township is located at 1 Illinois Blvd., in Hoffman Estates.

This is a great opportunity for people with low vision to try out the latest products designed to improve efficiency, ease, and quality of performing daily tasks such as reading, writing and cooking.

All products on display are available for purchase. There will be a wide array of products such as talking clocks and watches, computer aides, portable or desktop magnifiers and specialized eyewear. The Chicago Lighthouse staff will also demonstrate new technology such as electronic magnification tools (CCTV), voice-prompted GPS devices, and portable reading instruments such as the Intel Reader, the new Synergy CCTV video magnifier in striking natural color and portable hand-held CCTV magnifiers enabling the user to read and write anywhere.
