Elk Grove increases marketing efforts

Elk Grove Village is extending its contract with a Lombard-based firm to continue to implement an economic development marketing plan.

The village board last week approved a contract not to exceed $153,535 for the 2014-15 fiscal year with Red Caffeine Inc., formerly known as Desert Rose Design Studio. The village hired the firm in 2012 to develop the Beyond Business Friendly marketing campaign.

The campaign has led to the creation of the egvbizhub.com website and organization of a manufacturing expo. Officials say the campaign is meant to target current and potential Elk Grove businesses and regional commercial real estate professionals.
