International Women's Forum welcomes firm attorney Denise Lazar

Denise A. Lazar, a partner in Barnes & Thornburg LLP's Chicago office, recently accepted an invitation to join the International Women's Forum, a member organization that brings together women leaders in all areas of business and community.

Lazar, who is a member of the Litigation Department and co-chair of a litigation practice group, represents companies and individuals in civil matters around the country. She also advises nonprofit organizations, including professional societies, private accreditation bodies and trade associations. In addition, she frequently counsels in the areas of ethics and compliance. She focuses on simplifying complex legal and factual issues to make them understandable for decision-makers.

Across the globe, the International Women's Forum is advancing women's leadership initiatives and providing a support system for its members. The organization's programming and annual conferences focus on bettering global leadership today and cultivating women leaders for tomorrow.

Active in the community, Lazar is a vice president of the board of the YWCA of Metropolitan Chicago, where she serves on the executive and program and advocacy committees. She also serves on the board of the Cornell Law School Executive Board.
