Take a tour:

You can tour the historic Mettawa-area home of statesman Adlai E. Stevenson II on June 8. Now owned by the Lake County Forest Preserve District, the property has been restored and is available for public viewing. Tours will begin at 1 and 2:30 p.m. They're open to adults or families with kids at least 8 years old. Admission is $5 for Lake County residents or $7 for anyone else.
