Waukegan bank robbed

A man robbed NorStates Bank in Waukegan Monday afternoon, police said.

Waukegan officers responded to a bank panic alarm at the bank, 1601 N. Lewis Ave., at about 12:40 p.m., police said in a release.

The suspect, who is described as a male, 5-feet-9, 200 pounds with a short "Afro" style haircut, passed the teller a note, police said. The FBI described the robbery as a non-takeover.
