Pitching matchups: The White Sox' John Danks (2-2) vs. Travis Wood (2-3) Wednesday; Scott Carroll (1-1) vs. Jake Arrieta (0-0) Thursday. Both games 7:10 p.m.

About the Sox: After playing the first two interleague games Monday and Tuesday at Wrigley Field, the White Sox host the Cubs for the final two. The Sox played Tampa Bay and Detroit on their last homestand and went 3-3. The White Sox have seven players on the disabled list but should get third baseman Conor Gillaspie (thumb) back in the next few days. In 6 career starts vs. the Cubs, Danks is 3-2 with a 3.06 ERA.

About the Cubs: This is the second foray into an American League park for the Cubs this year. They were shut out in both ends of a doubleheader last month at Yankee Stadium. The Cubs used Mike Olt and Nate Schierholtz as their DHs against the Yankees. Cubs batters entered Tuesday having drawn 93 walks in 30 games after drawing 71 in their first 30 last year. Wood is 2-0 with a 2.25 ERA and 11 strikeouts in 2 career starts vs. the Sox.

Next: The White Sox play the Arizona Diamondbacks at U.S. Cellular Field, Friday-Sunday. The Cubs play the Atlanta Braves at Turner Field, Friday-Sunday.
