Rolling Meadows High School presents 'The Sound of Music'

Rolling Meadows High School brings the hit musical, "The Sound of Music," to its stage Wednesday through Saturday, May 7-10. The performance begins at 6 p.m. on May 7, and the remaining shows all begin at 7:30 p.m.

The 1959 musical is based on the memoir of Maria von Trapp, "The Story of the Trapp Family Singers." The music is by Richard Rodgers, lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II, and the book by Howard Lindsay and Russel Crouse.

The Rolling Meadows High School production of this classic show is directed by Kate McNally. Additional directors include Caitlyn Walsh (vocal), Kevin Carroll (pit orchestra), Reggie Good (choreography), Paul Dombrowski (set design and sound), and John Sanchez (lighting design).

Tickets are $5 for the May 7 show, and $10 for the other evening shows.
